Avoyd has a basic tutorial for its voxel editor tool under the menu Help > Tutorial.
It describes in detail how to get started with the Edit Tool:

Open the Edit Tool
Create a simple shape with the Set tool
Change Materials and Colours with the Paint tool
Erase shapes with the Delete tool
