Is it possible to change the dimension to say, the nether while in the editor and working on a world when working on an imported Minecraft world?
I found a workaround; you can copy the files from DIM1 (End) or DIM-1 (Nether) into the main folder and the editor will load them. There's probably an easier way to do it, but this worked for what I was doing.
If there are chunks that don't get overridden by nether or end chunks, they will still be visible though.
Currently the Avoyd Editor automatically imports any region
folder with *.mca
files in it when it finds such a folder, so it imports the main world without letting you navigate to the DIM1
or DIM-1
folders.
An easier workaround would be to temporarily rename the main world folder to regionBAK
or similar, then you can browse to DIM1
or DIM-1
.
I'll look into fixing this for the next version - however I don't have a valid DIM1
or DIM-1
region data to test - if I was able to create a build would you be able to test it?
Note: Avoyd can't save out any changes to a format readable by Minecraft.
We have a test build which allows you to select the dimension if there are region folders with valid content in those dimensions.
Download Test Build Avoyd 0.7.5.387
Wow, that's really helpful. It works on my machine on my world with no stability issues.
Great, many thanks for testing this!
We'll be making an official release soon with a couple of other changes. The program should detect if there's an update and inform you that you can download it.
The updated version is now out, once again many thanks for finding this issue and testing the new build! We've added a free key for Avoyd to your account (there is no difference between the free and paid versions as yet).
